Did you know that Lexis has a free service – lexisone.com – in which you can search the past five years of all state and federal appellate opinions using Lexis's regular search strategy? And it's not limited to expert-searching. You can do ANY normal Lexis-type searching for the past five years – again – FOR FREE! The lexisone interface for searching is not as easy to use as the normal Lexis, but you can't beat the price. If you have a Lexis or Westlaw subscription for only your state, this is also a CHEAP way to find and print a case that has been mentioned recently in a newspaper, legal article, or whatever. You can't Shepardize what you find for free, but you can pay a small fee to Lexis for that. And you don't have to have a regular Lexis account – anyone can register from this free (did I say that too often?) service.
